The only location that was unavailable was Winfield House, the royal residence of the American ambassador
Synopsis
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, finds herself in a high-level position she is unprepared for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The producers convinced the American and British governments to let them use real-life locations for the series, including the newly opened American embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming inside the Foreign Secretary’s office, an honor rarely granted to a film or cinematic production, especially an American one.
Featured at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024)
Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London after Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes. I watched The Night Agent over and over again, thinking it couldn’t get any better than this, but I was wrong. I loved every second of this series.
So cerebral and fascinating
Everything you could want in a series. The characters and acting were first class. It was great to see the delightful Rufus Sewell again, and what a role he played, never knowing what he was going to do next.
She played it to perfection
Keri Russell was simply magnificent as the ambassador. I also loved David Gyasi. Overall, a wonderful series, perhaps a little short, but well worth watching.
The best political series since The West Wing
Excellent!
